John Janetatos has played professionally in a variety of styles including jazz, rock, folk, hip-hop, R&B, Brazilian, Caribbean, and African. He has played/recorded with pianists Mike Mandel (Larry Coryell) Joe McWilliams, Jon Dryden and Janice Friedman; bassists Kenny Davis and Chris Luard; drummers Todd Isler, Joe Foster and Ivan Katz; horn players Cleve Guyton, Jenny Hill and Pam Fleming; steel pan players Vincent Tabou, Tony Trebuse and Dexter Jones, and many other musicians and producers, as well as shows including Gravid Water.
John received his Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, where he studied with John Amaral, Gary Burton, Greg Hopkins, Ken Pullig, Larry Senibaldi, John Wilkins, Bret Willmott, and many others. He has also studied with Joanne Brackeen and Ron McClure.
